wall of collage in home office in condo

During Covid, we were tasked to convert a dining space into an office space to be able to adapt to the new norm of working from home. It’s an unconventional idea already since it’s a small condo, in addition to that we were also challenged to add personality to the space. Adaptability is the core for this little interior project. To add personality, the user had collections of postcards, tickets, collectable transit cards, kids drawings that need a home so we thought this office space would be perfect place for them. Also we left rooms to grow to add their collectables on the wall as they travel and create more memories. The collage layout was inspired by the college girl dorm in a super fun way. This was a great opportunity to create a wall of collage with memories of life. We can call this less polished and more organized chaotic!

We also bought a second hand table from Kijiji and also two Kallax shelves from Ikea to organize it in an L shape layout within the space. This creates one side with a table for work and the other side used as storage and filing cabinet with additional work surface.

There is a kitchen entrance to the space since it’s a dining room so to resolve it we added a sliding door to close the entrance when necessary and for privacy.

Renao Design Studio love to do out of the box projects, this pushes our boundaries and also we have so much fun being in the process.
